As a successful businessman I thought he might teach me something, not necessarily about how to "Get rich quick" but just to be more savvy in the world of business, economics, etc. The first several chapters are intoductions by various people, including the author himself. Actually, I have the ebook right here, let's see That's 9 chapters before you even start the book.

Well said Mr. Your pizzas are crappy but you are a wise man! Now let's get this book started! The actual book is mostly Mr. Abdelnour complaining about the Obama administration and the war on the upper class. It's basically just conservative political writing. That's fine, but I didn't really learn anything, which I found disappointing. He writes about the banks, politicians, bail-outs, etc. I found this information repetitive and boring, but to be fair this book is a few years old.

It probably was new info when it came out. Toward the end, Abdelnour does give some advice to anybody looking to be a successful entrepreneur. If you're interested in what he has to say on this, do yourself the favor and skip to Chapter 6. Bottom line: After reading this book, I was left with the impression that Mr. Abdelnour is a bit of an egotistical "Blow Hard.

Then again, he's rich and I'm poor so what do I know? Aug 26, Kobe rated it really liked it.

The first impression you get out of this book is Ziad Abdelnour's boldness and honesty. The man speaks the truth and is completely fearless about it. His criticism of today's business leaders and the corruption of our banking system would get anyone on Wall Street fired or marginalized on the spot. The second topic that marked me was the author's criticism of the The first impression you get out of this book is Ziad Abdelnour's boldness and honesty. The second topic that marked me was the author's criticism of the rise of progressivism in the US and the negative effect it is having on society, which has become completely clueless, lost all ambition and as a result, has become less productive than ever.

Ziad makes also an implicit but good point at showing us how brain-washed society has been to think of wealth creation as a pervert and selfish goal.

Economic Warfare : Secrets of Wealth Creation in the Age of Welfare Politics

I expected it to be life-changing but turned out to be a little disappointed. Don't misunderstand me, the content is solid, concise and is probably very helpful to anyone seeking a general understanding of the dos and don'ts of the industry. I just expected it to be much more detailed and felt that it lacked some real world experiences, or tough situations the author has probably faced during his career.

I also wanted more insights from the GPs' perspective, whereas this chapter offers advice to entrepreneurs - e. Aug 18, Christian Adam rated it it was amazing Shelves: business-economics.

Please, for anyone reading or attempting to read this book heed my warning, the authors are complete and utter idiots that have written a logically fallacious book that contradicts itself at every corner. The authors start by discussing how they feel for the poor man, the rich are a bunch of philanthropist entrepreneurs who would delight in trickling down their money to the poor if only the government would leave the market to do its magic.

But Sair in that14th century British knight accent aren't the people down at Goldmen Sachs and Lemen brothers rich bastards who used the shortcomings of the market to pursue their unlimited greed at the expense of all others?! True my friend! Says Mr Ziad, that's why we need to deregulate those banks. I thought the crisis was caused by deregulation of financial sectors that rendered greed unkempt and untamed.

Exactly my boy! The government did that mess, that's why it must be removed from all economic matters. Because more regulations are needed to prevent such future catastrophes, you're brilliant advice is remove all regulation?

I think there would be a great number of people who might find this book to be a little controversial. Others might want to run straight to judgement and name calling based on political beliefs. I do think the authors expressed there opinions on the current state of the economic system, but I think they were able to back up their points of view with well referenced sources. For the most part I agree with what was written in the book.
